Case study research methodology in sustainable systems (4) ECTS

The course is based on the classical work of Yin about the case study methodology. How a case study is designed, how parts like reliability and validity are handled, as well as the different types of research activities that case study methodology is suitable for.

After completing the course, the student should be able to:
• Account for and reflect on the use of case study methodology in scientific research projects
• Analyse and evaluate the use of case study methodology and its strengths and weaknesses
• Critically review and evaluate the use of case study methodology in sustainable systems
• Communicate the results of their learning within the course areas both verbally and in writing
