Recent Winner
2025: Associate Professor Mahmoud Al-subaihi from DTU for his unique ability to integrate theory with practical insights—drawn from 13 years of industry experience—creates a learning environment that is both inspiring and deeply applicable. In his project management classes, he brings together students from different study programs, mirroring real-world project environments. This includes that every student works in an interdisciplinary project, can be a project leader for one day, and presents results in front of a steering committee. The students continously value his courses for clarity, relevance, and innovative elements. Mahmoud’s dedication to pedagogical innovation and student development exemplifies the values celebrated by this award.
Past Winners
2024: Associate Professor Tim Torvatn from NTNU for his exceptional contributions to the Master of Technology in Industrial Economics and Technology Management (MTIØT) program. Over the past 25 years, he has played a pivotal role in developing and managing this prestigious program, which is highly regarded in Norway. Tim is known for his innovative teaching methods, including case-based and problem-based approaches, which have inspired and engaged students. His dedication to teaching and program development has significantly shaped the MTIØT program and earned him the admiration of many graduates. Tim’s work has also been influenced by and contributed to the broader ScAIEM community.
2023: The Project Business Research Team at the University of Oulu, including Prof. Jaakko Kujala, Assoc. Prof. Kirsi Aaltonen, Dr. Jere Lehtinen, and Dr. Elina Jääskä. The team developed the “Project Business Game,” a virtual game-based platform for teaching project management. This innovative tool has significantly enhanced students’ understanding and application of project management methods.
