Goal
The aim of this course is to present the underpinnings of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Upon completing the course, the PhD student should be able to explain:
– Central concepts and theories of innovation and entrepreneurship
– How the concepts and theories of innovation and entrepreneurship relate to each other
– How the concepts and theories of innovation and entrepreneurship have evolved over time
Content
The course covers the literature in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, which analyzes and discusses different levels of innovation and entrepreneurship. More specifically, the content includes system perspectives on innovation, the economic foundations of innovation and entrepreneurship, sources of innovation, the resource-based view, creative/innovative work, and organizing for innovation.
