Course objectives
After completing the course, the student must have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the phenomenon of fracture growth;
  • Mechanisms, testing, modeling and simulation
  • Skills and ability to perform simpler hand calculations as well as numerical Finita Element calculations for crack growth dimensioning
  • Valuation ability and developed approach to fracture growth
